New Strides in Sustainability: Recycled Materials in Superfeet All-Purpose Insoles

Published by Superfeet on Apr 8th 2026

In 2025, we launched a bold new look to reflect the confidence and assurance that athletes feel wearing Superfeet in the expression of the brand. Our insoles provide measurable, real-world performance benefits for everyone from elite competitors to everyday runners to hardworking professionals on their feet all day. Our most iconic All-Purpose products are now available with the updated look, but a logo change is just the beginning.

New Look, Same Great Support

Nothing about the fit or feel of Superfeet All-Purpose insoles is changing. The durable, anatomically shaped support you rely on to relieve your plantar fasciitis or power through your day remains the same. Each insole is even keeping its iconic color. The only visible change is the new logo in the heel. That said, we have made some invisible improvements to the materials that help support you and the planet.

Using Recycled Materials Without Losing Performance

In recent years, we have made huge strides in sourcing, testing, and integrating recycled materials into many of our products and are excited to see the results fully realized in some of our bestsellers: All-Purpose High, Medium and Low Arch. Using recycled materials without losing the performance and durability Superfeet insoles are known for is key. Through rigorous wear testing and continuous iteration, we were able to find the perfect balance that allowed us to use as much recycled material as possible without any wearability or performance trade-offs.

The impacts are significant. The top cover of every single All-Purpose insole, not to mention many in our other product lines, is made with 100% recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Using recycled PET helps prevent further impacts from emissions and resources that would otherwise be used to create virgin material and saves plastic bottles from ending up in landfills and waterways.

With the latest version of All-Purpose High, Medium and Low arch, the impacts become even greater. Along with a 100% recycled top cover, the foam cushioning layer and structured stabilizer cap are both made with 75% recycled material. Best of all, these products are positioned to have the maximum impact possible thanks to their status as beloved bestsellers.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Along with innovations in product materials and design, we are also committed to measuring and reducing our entire emissions as a company. We have cut our Scope 1 and 2 emissions, the emissions most directly under our control, by more than half—including running our headquarters in Whatcom County, WA completely on renewable energy. We are working hard with suppliers and partners to reduce our Scope 3 unit intensity emissions by 52% by 2030, based on our 2021 baseline emissions. Helping prevent the worst effects of climate change requires a multi-pronged approach, and we’re proud to utilize both renewable energy and recycled materials in our work supporting a healthy, happy future for all.
